An early start today as we planned to drive the Bealach Na Ba before breakfast. It was rainy and cloudy so there wasn’t much of a view but it was certainly an experience!
We had a great breakfast at the Applecross Inn, and a lovely chat with the staff which cheered us up and set us on our way
We walked out to Ard Dhubh, during which the sun came out and we took our coats off for what felt like the first time in days! It was beautiful and we sat on a bench for a little while to enjoy it.
We retraced our steps and as we did so the wind and the rain came out of nowhere and knocked us sideways (both literally and figuratively!)
It was an unbelievable contrast in the weather and we truly had to battle our way back to Applecross. As we left Applecross to head to Garve there was a beautiful rainbow across the road in front of us.
Reaching our destination we set off through the woods to Rogie Falls.
Following the recent rainfall, the falls were looking amazing and we spent some time exploring.
In order to rest Kate’s hip, Olivia and Kevin walked the 5 miles back to Garve, taking the day’s total to 20.7 miles.
In August 2019 we're walking 500 miles round the North Coast of Scotland in memory of Kevin Kerr, raising money for MND Scotland, Marie Curie & SITraN
